On May 30, 2025, De La Salle University Medical Center (DLSUMC) honored the global
AIDS Candlelight Memorial with the theme “A Tribute to Lives Lost, A Light of Hope to Those Living with HIV.” The event aimed to raise awareness, promote compassion, and support the ongoing response to HIV.
The day's activities included a Lay Forum on HIV, providing valuable information to attendees. Free HIV testing was also offered at Clinic 2121 to encourage early detection and provide access to care.
A solemn offertory Mass was held at the St. John Paul II Chapel, followed by a candle lighting ceremony of the Red Ribbon at the MAC Lobby. This poignant moment served as a tribute to those who have passed away and offered a symbol of hope and strength to individuals currently living with HIV.
Through its participation in the AIDS Candlelight Memorial, DLSUMC reinforces its commitment to community health and its support for those affected by HIV.
