On March 5, 2024, DLSMHSI became a venue for empowerment as The Student Affairs-Minority and Multicultural Unit, alongside the Student Development and Activities Department and Institutional Student Council, held "Count Her In: Invest in Women: Accelerate Progress. Inspire Inclusion". 

Featuring talks by Ms. Arlene Estrada and Dr. Susan Tan, the event illuminated the importance of gender sensitivity, women empowerment, and the ongoing struggle against violence targeting women and children. Advocating for inclusivity and support, the event urged attendees to embrace the mantra of moving forward together, fostering a safer and more equitable environment for all.
