On September 29, 2025, De La Salle Medical and Health Sciences Institute warmly welcomed delegates from Good Samaritan Colleges (GSC), Cabanatuan City, for a benchmarking visit focused on academic quality assurance and program enhancement in the Bachelor of Science in Radiologic Technology (BSRT).
In its continuing pursuit of global academic collaboration, the De La Salle Medical and Health Sciences Institute (DLSMHSI) welcomed delegates from the National Tainan Junior College of Nursing (NTIN), Taiwan, last August 12, 2025 for an initial meeting on potential partnerships in internationalization, student exchange, and nursing education.

The Dr. Mariano Que College of Pharmacy, together with the Museum of the Human Body, is a lasting gift of the late Dr. Vivian Que-Azcona to DLSMHSI. The College honors the enduring legacy of her father, Dr. Mariano Que, founder of Mercury Drug, while the Museum enhances the academic journey of future healthcare professionals. This celebration was more than a blessing; it is a powerful reminder of DLSMHSI’s mission to nurture life through excellence in pharmacy education, innovation, and service to the community.
From August 4-8, 2025, De La Salle University Medical Center (DLSUMC) brought together its healthcare workers, joined by other members of the DLSMHSI community and hospital patients, for a meaningful celebration of Hospital Week 2025 with the theme “Healthy Hospitals, Healthier Nation for Every Filipino Hero.”
The summit brought together Lasallian institutions from across the country to strengthen innovation, protect intellectual property, and enhance collaboration within the academic and research community. With engaging breakout sessions and insightful discussions, participants explored strategies to protect creative works and apply ethical, forward-thinking IP practices in both local and global contexts. This annual gathering highlighted the Lasallian commitment to nurturing innovation with integrity, ensuring that creativity, research, and technological advancements continue to serve society responsibly. As one Lasallian community, we stand together in fueling innovation with a purposeful and ethical vision, driving meaningful change for the future.
On May 30, 2025, De La Salle University Medical Center (DLSUMC) honored the global AIDS Candlelight Memorial with the theme “A Tribute to Lives Lost, A Light of Hope to Those Living with HIV.” The event aimed to raise awareness, promote compassion, and support the ongoing response to HIV. The day's activities included a Lay Forum on HIV, providing valuable information to attendees. Free HIV testing was also offered at Clinic 2121 to encourage early detection and provide access to care. A solemn offertory Mass was held at the St. John Paul II Chapel, followed by a candle lighting ceremony of the Red Ribbon at the MAC Lobby. This poignant moment served as a tribute to those who have passed away and offered a symbol of hope and strength to individuals currently living with HIV. Through its participation in the AIDS Candlelight Memorial, DLSUMC reinforces its commitment to community health and its support for those affected by HIV.
