In its continued commitment to educational excellence, DLSMHSI, through the Center for Educational Effectiveness and Accreditation (CEEA), successfully conducted the Internal Assessment for Continuous Quality Improvement: A QAT Workshop on Tools and Techniques on March 12, 2025. This specialized training aimed to prepare the Quality Assurance Team (QAT) for the upcoming PAASCU and AUN-QA Accreditations. Equipping Internal Assessors for Excellence The workshop brought together QAT representatives from various departments, equipping them with essential competencies in conducting internal assessments. The training focused on the following key areas: Understanding the principles, scope, and purpose of internal assessment. Recognizing their roles and responsibilities as internal assessors. Applying effective assessment tools, evaluation techniques, and benchmarking methods. Identifying key areas for continuous quality improvement based on assessment findings. Formulating data-driven recommendations and providing constructive feedback. Hands-On Learning and Practical Application Beyond theory, participants engaged in informative and collaborative exercises, applying best practices in assessment, evaluation, and quality assurance—reinforcing their readiness for accreditation. Commitment to Continuous Quality Improvement The successful workshop underscores DLSMHSI’s unwavering commitment to upholding the highest standards in medical and health sciences education. By strengthening its QAT members, the Institution reaffirms its mission to deliver excellence in education, research, and healthcare service.
